How we handle your information.

Grant Finder is a small service built by Black Dot. We only collect what we need to send you relevant grant opportunities and to improve the product. We don’t sell your data and we don’t share it with advertisers.

• Email address — so we can deliver your reports and product updates.
• Profile information you submit — discipline, location, organisation type, focus areas. Used to match you with relevant grants.
• Free-text answers (e.g. “your biggest grant struggle”) — read by our small team to improve the service.
• Basic technical data — timestamp of your submission and which page it came from.

Your information is stored in an encrypted Postgres database managed by our backend provider on EU infrastructure. Access is restricted to the Black Dot team and protected by row-level security policies.

• To send you the grant reports you signed up for.
• To occasionally email you about launches, discounts and product changes (you can opt out any time).
• To understand demand and improve the service.

• Sell or rent your data.
• Share your information with advertisers.
• Use third-party ad trackers on this site.

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Email hello@blackdot.studio and we’ll respond within 14 days.

If we make material changes to how we handle your data we’ll update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
